The AAT Level 3 Diploma for Accounting Technicians is the perfect course to build on the knowledge acquired on the AAT Level 2 Certificate for Accounting. The Level 3 Diploma course is the next step to gaining an AAT Accounting qualification via the Diploma route.
The AAT Level 3 Diploma focuses on two basic aspects, learning the subject and carrying out the work. This approach will lead to you being skilled to national standards that are recognised across the UK.
The Diploma will introduce you to the more complex accountancy duties. These will include maintaining cost accounting records, preparing reports and returns and the preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
The Association of Accounting Technicians is the principal professional association for Accounting Technicians with over 100,000 members around the world. Being awarded a qualification by the AAT is guaranteed to open up doors to well paid and greatly valued accounting roles.
During your course you will have continual support from your own personal tutor who you can contact via telephone and email. There is also an online student community where you can share experiences and put questions to other students studying the AAT Level 3 Diploma.

Study Details
You course is broken down into five different topics and is professionally structured in a manner that will allow you to learn in a logical order and at a pace to suit you.
During your AAT Accounting course you will be required to complete 9 assignments. Once you have completed an assignment you can send it to your tutor. This will give your tutor a chance to assess your progress, offer useful feedback, and ensure you're getting the very most from your training.
In order to successfully complete your AAT Level 3 Certification you are required to sit 5 exams and 2 computer-based projects at an external test centre.
It takes an average student 400 hours of study to complete the AAT Level 3 Diploma.
Note: The minimum computer hardware requirements for this course are:
- Your operating system must be at least Windows 2000(SP4), WindowsXP(SP3), Windows 2003 or Windows Vista.
- 1GHz or faster processor
- 512MB RAM or higher
- 400MB of available hard disk space for installation
- DVD-ROM drive
